Ottawa? Hottawa!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all having a fantastic summer! This year Ottawa has been hit with one hot summer! Some of the humidity we have been getting has been record setting and it has been a hot one to say the least. Earlier in July we had a deadly heat wave where it sometimes felt like 43 degrees Celsius outside! Luckily weather like that has died down during August for the most part. We still have our hot days, but luckily, there are lots of ways to stay cool in Ottawa!

We have two water parks in Ottawa, Mont Cascade and Calypso. Both have plenty of activities and plenty of water slides to keep you cooled off on those hot summer days!

There are also plenty of great ice cream shops in Ottawa. My friends have had nothing but great things to say about the Stella Luna Gelato Café on Bank Street, and I have also heard great things about the Marble Slab Creamery. (Would love to know your favourite place too!)

Ottawa also has beaches to hang out at on the beautiful sunny days. If you’re out in the West end of you can hit up Britannia Beach, a great place to go swimming and watch some sailing on a sunny day. There is also Mooney’s Bay Beach which is just by Carleton University. The beach is very active there and is a great spot to play some volleyball!

If none of this works, you could also get a unit a Dymon Storage and enjoy our climate and humidity controlled units while you’re moving in! Whatever you decide to do, have a safe and happy summer!
