Shoe Sorting for Soles4Souls!

Hello Everyone!

For those of you who don’t know, Dymon Storage has been working with the Soles 4 Souls organization for the past couple of years to help disperse shoes locally and internationally. This past month we had Mayor Jim Watson come by our Carling location to declare the month of June as Soles 4 Souls month!

All seven of our locations have become drop off locations for the shoes and Dymon donates its resources’ to help with the storage and transportation of the shoes. The shoes all come back to our Walkley location where they are stored. This past Saturday we had one of the first of many shoe sorting’s! Everyone showed up bright and early at 8:30 am for the sorting.

The volunteers we had come in from our head office had some Tim Hortons coffee and doughnuts’ ready for everyone. We had a mix of some of our Dymon head office staff and some volunteers from various high schools. They all went at it for 3.5 hours straight, and got a big chunk of it done. That being said, there are still lots of shoes (as you can probably guess from the pictures) to be sorted!

If you would like to get involved, call our Carling location and ask for Ben Mondor. He is not only the facility manager, but helps coordinate transportation and volunteers for S4S’s as well. June may be S4S month, but we take donations all year round. If you have any questions about the S4S’s organization, read some of past blogs or visit their website at

Come drop off shoes at any one of our seven locations or come to a shoe sorting, either way come get involved! It is a great cause to get behind so we hope to see you at the next sorting!
