Dymon Storage Helps out the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Hello everyone! This past weekend, our South Keys manager Ross Townsend had the opportunity to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For those of you who don’t know who they are, they are an organization whose sole purpose is to grant the wishes of children who suffer from life-threatening medical conditions. Using our DymonMine studio, he was able to provide them with space to hold a training session for their new volunteers’. Ross got involved through the manager of Wishes and Volunteers, Tanya Desjardins, who ran the two-part training seminar this past Saturday. The training was for the volunteers who interact with the children and help make wishes come true.

The training went well for the 30+ volunteers that showed up this past Saturday. The organization was so grateful that Tanya told us that we would be presented with a plaque for donating our space for the day! The real satisfaction though comes from the fact that we were able to help out such an amazing organization. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been working worldwide since 1980 to help make kids wishes come true. The organization receives no government funding at all, and is dependant on donations, so I am really glad Dymon Storage had the chance to do its part!

The organization is always looking for new people, so to get involved and get more information check them out at makeawisheo.ca. Tanya seemed very pleased with everything, so hopefully this won’t be the last time she holds one of her training sessions with us! Until next time!
