Dymon Helps to Spread Holiday Cheer

Conrad Switzer

Conrad Switzer, Manager at Dymon’s Walkley location is back with today’s blog post:

Hello everyone! With the holiday season coming up, the staff at Dymon Self Storage  are really getting into the holiday spirit! We have a gift wrapping promotion coming up at our Innes and Kanata locations where customers can come in to hide gifts from those sneaky kids (and adults!). The presents can be wrapped and stored where they can’t be found by family and friends! Starting December 7th and running until December 24th, Dymon Self Storage will be renting our 5 x 5 units at the discounted price of $49.00 (the usual cost of a 3 x 5 unit)! Dymon will have gift wrapping stations at both of these locations and will provide the necessary tools for the gift wrapping (the scissors, tape, wrapping paper, tags).  We will also have Christmas music playing and complimentary beverages! So not only will you save on storage costs, but you can actually surprise that pesky person who always finds their gifts before the holidays!

This is not the only thing Dymon Self Storage is doing to get into the holiday spirit. We are also participating in the “Be A Santa To A Senior”  gift giving campaign! The goal of the campaign is to give gifts to seniors who may not otherwise get gifts over the holiday season. This event is organized by Lesley Sullivan and others from Home Instead Senior Care.  They work with other not-for-profit senior supportive agencies in Ottawa to get names and gift ideas for seniors who they believe would benefit from the program. Gift tags are hung from a large Christmas tree in the Carlingwood Shopping Centre where members of the public can pick up a tag, purchase the gift and place it under the tree! The gifts are wrapped and delivered to the agency that provided the name. They in turn deliver them to the seniors just in time for the holidays!  What Dymon is providing “Be A Santa To A Senior” with free storage space for the gifts! We also will be providing the group with a space to wrap the gifts on Monday December 17th from 1- 4pm at our Kanata location! If you would like to learn how to get involved, contact Lesley Sullivan at 613-599-6906 or visit their websites at www.beasantatoasenior.ca or www.homeinsteadottawa.ca.

These are just a few of the things that the owners and staff at Dymon are doing to get into the holiday spirit as well as give back to Ottawa community. We hope that we see you at our Innes and Kanata stores to take advantage of our low storage costs and free gift wrapping stations! We are also hoping that when you read this you are also inspired to get into the holiday spirit and give back to your community! From all the staff and owners at Dymon we hope you have a safe and happy holiday season! Until next time!
