Hello everyone! It’s been a while but I am back with some really exciting news! I am happy to announce that Dymon Self Storage  is re-launching our DymonMine website! If you aren’t familiar with our DymonMine service, let me bring you up to speed. DymonMine is a service at Dymon Self Storage where you can sell your stuff while you are storing with us! We started DymonMine because a lot of our customers who were storing with us were also moving homes and in many cases that means downsizing. Actually, anyone with storage with us can put an item on our website.

If you have an item you are interested in selling, all you have to do is come to the office of any one of our six locations and talk to one of our associates. If you have the item(s) with you during your move-in, one of our store associates will gladly assess your item(s) and determine whether it is a) worth your while to sell on our site, (based on historical selling data), and b) deem whether or not the item(s) quality is suitable for our site,( based on our acceptance criteria). The neat thing is that you hold the final pricing decision. The item must start at a value of $100 but the sky is the limit! It is also important to do a bit of homework prior to uploading your item(s) on any buying/selling site-see. This will help to see what other folks are listing their items for and help guide you in determining a realistic price for your item(s). This could mean the difference in selling your item(s) quickly, which is the ultimate goal, or not-so-quickly. If you don’t happen to have your items with you, no problem! Just bring them in next time and follow the same process as above. We also ask that instead of your own lock that we put a DymonMine lock on your unit. This allows our sales associates to show your item to potential buyers. If you don’t have the space in your locker to properly show the item, we can put in one of our own storage units for just $5 a month!

We take professional photographs of your item in our studio, then you set the selling price and it goes up on our website! Once the item is sold, we take a small 15% commission of the sale price and we cut a cheque that we send to your address! Easy as that! Previously, potential buyers would have to come into our site or call in with an offer on an item. Then, we would have to relay that offer to the seller, and so on and so forth (I’m sure you get the idea!) until the item was either sold or remained on the site. We found this aspect of the process to be an inconvenience to our customers. That’s why we have developed a much speedier and entertaining way to accept bids and get the item sold! Going forward, potential buyers can make a bid for the item on DymonMine.com and it will be sent anonymously to the owner! Even better, the item’s owner can reject, accept, or make a counter offer right from their computer! This takes Dymon out as the middle man until payment needs to be made and the item is picked up! We are making an already successful and inexpensive service easier to use and more interactive for our customers!
